(Oct. 30, 2023) – A 57-year-old Aurora man has died from injuries he sustained last week in a multi-vehicle crash on Colfax Avenue near Interstate 225.
The crash occurred just after 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, when a blue Ford pickup speeding eastbound on Colfax rear-ended a blue Nissan Murano and a green Toyota Camry, which were pushed into a white Ford Ranger and a blue Chevrolet pickup. The drivers of the blue Ford pickup and the Nissan Murano were rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Murano died from his injuries early Monday morning. He will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
Traffic investigators are investigating a medical event as a possible contributing factor to the crash. The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720.913.STOP (7867).
The crash marks the 59th traffic-related death in 2023 in Aurora.
