On November 13, 2016, at about 1:20 PM, Aurora Officers responded to an automobile versus bicycle crash in the intersection of East Mississippi Avenue and South Moline Street.
The investigation revealed that a male adult was riding his bicycle northbound across East Mississippi Avenue in the east crosswalk of South Moline Street.  A silver Nissan Rouge being driven by a female adult was eastbound on East Mississippi Avenue in the center lane.  The Nissan struck the bicycle in the crosswalk.
Both the bicyclist and the driver of the Nissan were transported to an area hospital for treatment.  The driver of the Nissan had minor injuries.  The bicyclist succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The identities of both people involved in the crash are not being released as we are attempting to notify family.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash.  Aurora Police Traffic Investigators are still speaking with witnesses in an effort to determine fault.
