On Saturday September 10th 2016 at approximately 11:30 a.m. officers responded to the 1000 block of Powhatan Road on report of an apparent deceased body.

Upon officers arrival they discovered a deceased female. The identity of the deceased will be released by the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office once a positive identification has been made, and next of kin has been notified.

The Majors Crime/Homicide unit responded and has taken over the investigation. Aurora Police is asking anyone with information about this case to contact Agent Jamie Krieger with the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit at 303-739-6113.

Tipsters can also use Metro Denver ​Crime Stoppers by calling 720-913-7867. By using Crime Stoppers tipster can remain anonymous and be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
