On December 4th, 2019 at approximately 5:41 pm, the Aurora Public Safety Communications Center received calls reporting a pedestrian that was stuck by several vehicles in the 18900 block of East Smith Road. The investigation revealed that the pedestrian was walking along East Smith Road when struck by an initial vehicle and then a second vehicle. It was reported that a third vehicle was involved that did not remain on scene. The drivers of the first two vehicles remained on scene and are assisting with the investigation.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and was later declared deceased due to injuries sustained in the collision. The identity of the pedestrian is not being released at this time.

This marks the 30th traffic related fatality in Aurora for 2019. If you have any further details regarding this incident, please contact the Aurora Police Traffic Section.
