On September 18th, 2018 at approximately 10:22 pm, Aurora Police responded to northbound I-225 between East Alameda Avenue and East Sixth Avenue on the report of a single car rollover accident.

The single occupant driver was declared deceased on scene. According to witnesses, speed does appear to be a factor in this accident. The involvement of alcohol and/or drugs has not been determined.

The identity of the driver is not being released at this time until notification of next of kin has been made.
This will be the 23rd traffic related fatality in Aurora for 2018.
