UPDATE: On Friday September 27th Mr. Lee Fabricius (03/11/1969) was booked into the Aurora Municipal Jail on suspicion of Vehicular Homicide and is currently being held at the Arapahoe County Jail on a $50,000.00 bond. Furthers questions about this incident should be directed to the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office.

Previously Released Information -
On September 24, 2019 at about 10:04 PM, Aurora Police and
Fire responded to a single vehicle crash in the 22600 block of Heritage
Parkway. During the investigation they found that a 2014 Dodge truck had
been driving east and ran off the road into a park bench and trees. The
crash resulted in the death of a pedestrian who may have been walking down the
sidewalk, the Arapahoe County Coroners officer Identified the victim as Dale
Fabricius 06/03/1959.
The victim in the accident is the brother of Lee Fabricius
03/11/1969, who was driving the truck. At this time, we believe
alcohol consumption to be a factor in the crash but that cannot be confirmed
until toxicology reports are reviewed. Mr. Lee Fabricius is in custody at
a local hospital. Because he is in the hospital a picture of Mr. Fabricius is
not available at this time. Once Mr. Fabricius is released from the
hospital he will be booked into the Aurora Municipal Jail on the charge of
Vehicular Homicide.
In consultation with the 18th Judicial District
Attorney’s Office the charge of Vehicular Homicide might change as the
investigation continues.

Previously Released Information -
On September 24th, 2019 at 10:04 pm, Aurora Dispatch received calls of a crash in the 22600 block of East Heritage Parkway. During the course of the investigation a deceased victim was discovered in the path taken by the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with injuries. Speed and alcohol are being investigated for this incident. The identity of the victim and the driver are not being released at this time.
This incident marks the 20th traffic related fatality in Aurora for 2019.
